SLJ: Superhero Kick Start

Today, I did a task on the Summer Learning Journey, the task was to create a superhero. I used and AI tool called Craiyon to create images for the superhero. I found a few of them were cute, so I chose all of the ones I think are cute.

Their superpowers are all the same, it is to change the bad to good by controlling them. They got that power because they found the gem stone that gives anyone who finds it the dreams of destiny.

What would your superhero be?

SLJ: Invisible Ink

Kick start

I decided to choose this activity because it looked fun. I tried it with onion and milk.

The onion turned out to be better because when it drys up, you can´t see what I have drawn. But when you cook it, it turns brown without having it burnt and it smells gooooood.

With the milk, you can see the trace where I have drawn on the paper after it drys up. Also it took longer to dry the invisible milk ink and longer to show.

Step it up

Can you find my message what I have written here?

SLJ: Penrose Triangle

I have done this before but by hand instead of using Google Drawings. Penrose Triangle is also know as Impossible Triangle.

From Wikimedia GIF created by Tomruen

As you can see, when it stops to be a triangle, it seems to be impossible. The truth is there is a jump between the purple and red cubes in the 3rd L(brown).

From the angle you are looking at, it seem for it to be connected to each other. That makes it seem impossible because you cant see the jump between the purple and red cubes in the 3rd L(brown).

SLJ: Pursuit Square

I have done this before but by hand instead of using Google Drawings. Pursuit Square is also know as Pursuit Curve. I started off with a square then I duplicated and and moved the square 10% of the distance towards their nearest anticlockwise neighbour at each step, then the first dots I draw will be 16mm from each of the corners.

Have you drawn a Pursuit Square by hand or online before?

SLJ: Refraction

I chose to do this activity because I like science

  1. Yes, the bottom arrow would look different without water from with water.
  2. The arrow have to be about half of the with of the jar.
  3. My prescription glasses.
  4. Because the idea of a window is to look outside and make it look real.
  5. No because it is not an actual magnifying glass.
