SLJ: Snowing in Summer

An interesting fact about snow is that it is frozen water. One snow flake is one crystal.

I used Diamond Harbour for the background because it is my favourite spot.

  1. Kia ora Isa,

My name is Theresa and I am one of the Summer Learning Journal commenters. Diamond harbour looks stunning. Can you imagine what it would actually be like if it snowed there?

Well done on creating the snow in scratch. I did wonder if creating small snowflakes would have fitted better with your picture. What do you think? I also had a look at your snow globe and the fact you added to that blog was really interesting. I didn’t know that an electric bulb was used first but found it very interesting to read about 🙂

    1. Hi Theresa,
Thank you for your comment. I think Diamond Harbour will feel very cold with the snow covered the hill and roof of the houses, but the sea will look just the same.
I tried making the snowflakes smaller before but it made too much gaps and it is very hard to see the snowflakes if they are small.
