SLJ 2026 The Mighty Megalodon – Kick Start

Today, I completed Friday’s kick start activity with the megalodon. A megalodon is an extinct species of shark that was a really good swimmer and a massive fish. For this task, I had to make a megalodon mosaic art on Google Drawings using the polyline tool. I based my art of an image of the megalodon in Fisch, a game in Roblox. When I finished the artwork, I moved the original image and added a water like effect as part of the background. The massive megalodon is my artwork, and the smaller one besides it is the original Fisch megalodon. These are my megalodons.

Would you rather be the megalodon or eat the megalodon and why?

  1. Kia ora Isa,

It’s Charlotte again, a blog commenter for the Summer Learning Journey. I have enjoyed seeing all your blog posts pop up – keep up the great blogging.

What an awesome Megalodon you have created! I saw a Megalodon jaw bone in a museum once and it was very impressive. They were massive creatures, what would be your reaction if you saw a Megalodon in real life?

The sharks you have created and designed actually look quite scary! I would not want to encounter one of them whilst swimming at the beach. Swimming is one of my favourite things to do during Summer, what are your favourite Summer activities?

    1. Kia Ora Charlotte,

It’s Isa here. Thank you for your comment. I liked reading what you said about my Megalodon creation. If I ever saw a Megalodon in real life, I think I would be terrified at first because of how huge it is, but also amazed because it would be incredible to see something that big swimming right in front of you.

I’m glad you liked the sharks I designed. I agree that I too wouldn’t want to meet them at the beach either! My favourite summer activities are swimming, going to the beach, and biking because they’re fun and you can enjoy the warm weather.

      From Isa
